Frequently Asked Questions!
Do you make your cakes from scratch?
All cakes are made from scratch, with high quality ingredients!
Can you copy another cake design from another baker?
While we prefer to create unique cakes, we are happy to use your image as inspiration, adding our own artistic flair.
When should I order?
3-4 weeks in advance is typically the best time to order. However, our available dates have been booking up quickly. I suggest you inquire as soon as you have a set date for an event.
How much does an average cake cost?
Starting prices are listed on my "pricing/flavor" tab, however the final price depends on design and flavor choice. Please understand that these cakes are work of art and take a lot of time to complete them. Sometimes the most “simple” designs aren’t as simple as they look. I truly put in my best effort and a whole lot of love into each cake, making them special for each unique event. The best thing to do is ask! I will try my best to work within your budget.
How do I cut your tall cakes?
Cakes are not pie, so don’t cut them one! I think of cutting them in a checkered board pattern.
Do you deliver?
I do! When inquiring, please include that you are interested in delivery, with the delivery location. I can include that in your price estimate.
How do I store the cake?
Cakes should be kept in a refrigerator. Depending on the temperature outside, I suggest cakes be taken out of the refrigerator about 1-3 hours before it’s
served. Cakes are best eaten at room temperature! Any leftover cake should be wrapped in cling wrap and put back in the refrigerator.
Should I have someone hold the cake when I pick it up?
NO! The best spot for a cake is on the floor, in front of the passenger seat. Make sure the heat is off, and if it’s summer time, the air is on.
Do you have a store-front?
We are an at-home bakery, operating under the Cottage Food Law. We are happy to provide our license and insurance information for any venue. It is up to you, the customer, to double check with your venue before booking with us.
How many servings does each cake yield?
This depends on how the cake is cut! Party servings vs. event servings differ in size. Please reference the photo below for a general idea.
